Kawaljeet Singh is a 61-year-old tennis coaching professional from India.

Kawaljeet Singh is actively involved in mentoring Coaches, Tennis Academies, Professional Players, Juniors Players and Tennis Associations. His contribution to the Sports of Tennis is momentous.
He is a certified ITF Level 3 coach and has been closely associated with the ITF’s coach’s education program for the last two decades.

Kawaljeet first began coaching in 1979 and was key to a tennis revolution in Assam where he spent 13 years as coach. He has held many key positions including Director Coaching of CLTA and DLTA. Kawaljeet’s greatest success as a coach came when his players won four national titles at the Delhi hardcourt nationals in 1999.

The same year his ward and CLTA product Sunil Kumar Sipaeya became the youngest ever national men’s champion at the age of 16. Soon after he was appointed as travelling coach for various junior ITF teams on the European circuit from 1999 to 2002.

Dilip Bose Award

The Life time Achievement award to the coach for his contribution towards the development of the game of tennis in the country. The award was presented during the 6th National coaches Workshop held at Goa, (India) September 2011 by the All India Tennis Association

Visiting Coach Vietnam Tennis Federation 2004 to 2007: Responsible for junior development programme for 14 & 16 age group. Organizing international training camps during summer months June to August in Vietnam and overseas.


Hong Kong Sports Development Board Coach 2003, Training Hong Kong’s Elite Tennis programme ( probable Davis cup & fed cup players) at Hong Kong Sports Institute.
ITF Tennis expert and camp director to conduct ITF/ATF 14 & under Central Asian Training camps held in Kyrgyzstan (2013), Uzbekistan (2008, 2010 & 2011), Thailand (2001).
Camp director, International Jr. Tennis Camp, Kuala Lumpur 2005. Organized by Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia (LTAM).

Kawaljeet is a ITF Level 2 coach and also working closely with the All India Tennis Association (AITA). He has been a fundamental lynch-pin to India’s coach’s education.


He was Director of the education program for AITA for four years, 2013-17.
